COVID-19 & Communicable Diseases

COVID-19 and Communicable Diseases

TDT is committed to offering a safe, clean, and healthy training and learning environment.  Therefore we do everything we can to ensure our staff and their familiy's health and safety, and that of our students and their extended families.

We understand that there are varying views regarding COVID-19, its origins, its ability to be transmitted, the illness and symptoms that occur, the effectiveness of treatments, masks and the prevention capabilities, vaccine processes or status.  Since TDT is not a medical provider, nor are we trained beyond an emergency response level of medicine, TDT and its staff won't entertain lengthy discussions about our policies and procedures related to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.  Washing your hands regularly or using hand sanitizer as a replacement if soap and water are unavailable is a necessity.

If you are sick, we ask that you stay home until you no longer are feeling ill.  If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or If you have recently had COVID-19 regardless of symptoms, we ask that you self-test before attending any of our events.

We'd ask that you respect everyone's need for space and socially distance yourself from others by providing at least a 6-foot space around you and being responsible for maintaining that space if possible.

We also ask that if you are unable to maintain that distance you seriously consider wearing a mask or face covering to help slow the spread of communicable diseases.  Washing your hands regularly or using hand sanitizer as a replacement if soap and water are unavailable is a necessity.

The training sites we provide to our students may have specific COVID-19 and other illness or vaccine requirements that are above and beyond the control of TDT.  As such, we defer to the training site's policies regarding COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

When in doubt about your COVID-19 status or another person's, we'd ask you to exercise good personal judgment.  This may include masking yourself, maintaining social distance from others, washing your hands regularly, using hand sanitizer, and staying home if you are ill.
